Jonathan has always surrounded himself with music — listening to, playing, singing, studying, and recording it. With piano, guitar, accordion and vocal training, he brings a broad understanding of musicianship to every project.

In his hometown of Saginaw, Michigan, Jonathan got his start working with local bands. He soon realized that recording audio was more than a hobby to him, and in 2001 moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota in order to pursue an education in music. After internships with A440 Studios and Oarfin Studios, he graduated from Music Tech College (now the McNally Smith College of Music) in 2003 with an AAS in Recording Technology.

Still a Twin Cities resident, Jonathan enjoys working with area artists — and they like working with him. His focus on understanding and accurately representing the musician's vision continually sets him apart. Jonathan believes that every project should be approached from a unique perspective appropriate to the music. Plus, he's just an easy-going guy.
